Mietencheck is a non-profit initiative fighting for affordable housing.
Last year, we launched mietencheck.de together with Deutsche Wohnen & Co Enteignen, a free tool that helps tenants in Berlin find out if they are paying too much rent.
Now, we are looking for people who want to join us to expand the capabilities of the platform and integrate it with other non-profit groups that offer free legal support for tenants.
We are a small team of volunteers with mixed backgrounds, united by the belief that housing should be affordable for everyone. Anyone who shares that motivation is welcome.

All experience levels are welcome, you do not need any background in rental law, and there is no minimum time commitment. We simply appreciate people who want to stay involved long-term and help shape the direction of the project.
Our tools are specifically build for Berlin and most of us are based in Berlin, but our meetings take place online, so you can contribute from anywhere.
